Service - data entry for postal automation system.
June 1989 - January 1994
Business Administrator, The Salvation
Army Salinas Corps - responsible for all routine business operations (social
services, clerical and accounting, and other program services), including
supervision of a staff of ten people. Increased the net proceeds of
seasonal fund-raising programs during a period when similar efforts in
other cities were experiencing decreases. Also successfully took on increased
responsibilities (including all accounting functions) when declining income
forced a 50% reduction in staffing levels.
September 1986 - January 1989
Computer Operator, First Bank - responsible
for all computer activity on my shift, including posting, balancing, and
processing all transactions for the bank's six branches each day, preparation
and delivery of reports, and helping other computer users with system problems.
Instituted procedures which improved the accuracy and speed of routine
operations.
September 1986 - December 1988
Owner and manager, Ketchikan Trade
Network - A small company (three persons) providing local delivery and
courier services to banks and government agencies. Started and developed
this business until family responsibilities required my relocation. Liquidated
the business.
June 1980 - September 1986
Station Manager, DHL Airways, Inc.
- responsible for all local customer service and sales activities.
Established and maintained high standards of service and performance in
this local branch of a major worldwide overnight express delivery company.
